The food has a very consistent taste which is the most important thing unlike other places which u feel like the taste is different from every visit. I tried a lot of items during my multiple visits and must say, none disappointed. I love makki ki roti with saag, their chats, their Thali’s are wholesome. When ever I crave something home, it’s the place to go.

We tried a variety of their thalis – each one was unique and absolutely delicious: Gujarati Thali – A beautiful balance of sweet, savory, and tangy! Every bite reminded me of home-cooked Gujarati comfort food. Amritsari Kulcha Thali – The kulchas were crisp on the outside and soft inside, stuffed generously and served with a flavorful chole that had just the right kick. The pickle and chutney sides complemented it perfectly. Punjabi Thali – Full of robust flavors! Creamy dal makhani, buttery paneer, fluffy rotis, and fragrant jeera rice. It was hearty, wholesome, and just what you’d expect from a proper Punjabi meal. Kesar Special Thali – The highlight of our visit! A royal spread featuring a bit of everything – rich curries, fresh breads, rice, desserts – this thali is a must-try if you want the complete Kesar’s experience. It’s indulgent and worth every bite. To wash it all down, we ordered the Masala Soda – fizzy, tangy, and incredibly refreshing! The perfect end to a flavorful meal. The service was warm and attentive, and the ambience strikes a nice balance between casual and classy. Whether you’re with family or friends, Kesar’s makes for a satisfying, flavorful dining experience.

I recently visited this vibrant spot known for its North Indian fare, and it turned out to be a delightful experience for me and my fam. Before diving into the entrees, we started with the Tandoori Paneer Appetizer, and let me just say—this dish set the bar high. The paneer was perfectly charred on the outside, and marinated in a rich blend of spices that didn’t overpower but elevated every bite. It came sizzling on a wooden platter with veggies that were equally delectable. I ordered their Kathiyawadi Thali—a hearty, flavor-packed platter that truly delivered. Every element, from the spicy undhiyo to the mouth-melting Dhokla, brought bold and rustic flavors. Paired with soft bajri rotis and a generous dollop of ghee, this thali was soulful, satisfying, and beautifully balanced in spice and comfort. Totally recommend! We also tried the Kesar Special Thali, which leaned heavily into North Indian-inspired classics. Think creamy dal makhani, butter naan, and more. While not as bold as the Kathiyawadi thali in terms of spice, it brought a more indulgent, comforting vibe that rounded off the meal beautifully. I loved my thali more. The ambience was beautiful, warm, with a good blend of casual and traditional. Service was friendly and inviting, and the staff took time to explain the dishes, which added a personal touch to the experience. I would highly recommend this place if you are in the mood for north-inspired thali!

Staff and the management both are worthy of our appreciation. They were very courteous, customer focused and attentive. Food was excellent. When they realized that we were visiting as a post wedding celebration, they even brought sweets for us . That was really a very kind gesture. My only recommendation is to improve the decor and ambiance. Highly recommend.

Recently we visited Kesar’s , located at Town Center plaza , east Windsor . It was the first time we ever visited this place , but I should say food was pretty good., with perfect seasoning n mildly spiced gravy . Though this place is popular for Indian Thali , we wanted to try a quick platter with breads n curries.,with Parathas. The service was good and was on time. Food was piping hot . Just wanted to give a try on Mango lassi , it was good. Overall food was good , service was good, staff were friendly , neat and clean , peaceful ambience . Hope this helps , would recommend to give a try. Would love to try their Thali.

Back again after a while because our first experience here was chef’s kiss—and this time, we brought the whole family for round two! Spoiler alert: still delicious. This place is a paradise for vegetarians (and even the occasional meat-lover will forget about meat while eating here). Whether you’re into Indian street food, hearty mains, or just came for the sweets—this place delivers. We feasted on Karahi Soya Chaap with Laccha Parantha, Amritsari Aloo Kulcha Thali, and Samosa Chaat. Everything hit the spot! The chaap was so good, we almost started a custody battle over the last piece. Portion sizes? Generous. Taste? On point. Special shoutout to the Jalebi and Kachori—worth breaking any diet for. Service was friendly and above average. Highly recommend for a cozy, flavorful veg meal. Definitely coming back—possibly with even more people next time.

Delicious food especially the paneer seller was amazing and very, very delicious all other dishes like the the lotus root was good nice and crispy. Then the Dhyati tested good. Puri bhaji was good. Noodles were good. Bombay sandwich is nice. Their fries were crispy and the sauce came really good even the burger was good but the roti answer so Casa tested good was OK. It had a lot of coconut. I prefer more Golconda, but overall, it was a good experience nice food so yeah Shankar was OK. Not that great.

Visited the restaurant on a Monday, had very few guests. We ordered Amritsari Thali, Punjabi Thali, Mango Lassi, Gobi 65 and kids noodles. The amritsari thali was great with the start being the paneer naan which was soft and well stuffed. The Palak saag in the punjabi thali was my personal favourite. Lassi had a very good flavour of the mango. Gobi 65 could have been a little more spicy. The quantity of the kids noodles was a little too much for my son but he enjoyed them. The service was prompt and our server was very hospitable. Overall a very pleasant experience.
